Check Your Change!

Are you a person who regularly checks your change at a restaurant or a store to make sure you are getting "correct change"?

Well, we've been saying that change is constant.  We change whether we want to or not, whether we like it or not.  When we embrace change rather than fight it, we can help to shape it.

You're changing.  But are you checking your change?  Are you getting the correct change in your life?  Here are some ways the Bible tells us we should be growing and changing:

1.  Grow in Righteousness - Isaiah 45:8

Do the right things - love God - love others.

2.  Grow in Faith - 2nd Corinthians 10:15

The Bible tells us that when we read, or hear, and understand the Bible, our faith grows.

3.  Grow in Grace - 2nd Peter 3:18

Get beyond the entry-level of following Christ.  Do the things that please Him, read the manual (Bible), become His friend, do what He wants us to do ... then we'll be growing in grace!

4.  Grow in Knowledge - 2nd Peter 3:18

Again - Read the Bible - study it!  Love it!  Get to know it!

5. Grow in Numbers - Acts 2:47; Acts 4:4; Acts 9:31; Acts 16:5

It's a fact!  The Bible says that when we are doing what we should, the numbers of those who are following Christ will grow!  We can't get around this truth!  If the Church, and local churches, are not growing in numbers, something is not right ... according to the Bible.

6.  Grow in Ways - Jeremiah 15:7

How many churches are failing to make a difference in spiritually needy people's lives today because they simply refuse to change and grow in the ways in which they do things?

7.  Grow in Glory - 2nd Corinthians 3:9-11,18

Paul said if the God's Old Covenant with the Jews was "glorious" - how much more "glorious" is His New Covenant with all people?

If the "good old days" were so good - the "great new days" should be even better!

Are you growing in Righteousness, Faith, Grace, Knowledge, Numbers, Ways & Glory?
